Kelly: Hi, I’m Kelly Nicholls. 12 years ago, I was running a global campaign, raising a one-year-old, and finishing a novel. I was taking calls from 5am to 11pm and I literally had no off switch. I was telling myself I was handling it. But my body had other ideas. I was hit with adrenal fatigue, pneumonia, and a string of symptoms I couldn’t make sense of. And to really round things out, I got hand foot and mouth disease — courtesy of my son’s kindy, which is definitely as gross as it sounds.

Kelly: I ended up in bed staring at the ceiling, too unwell even to distract myself. And for someone who hadn’t stopped moving in years — probably decades — it was a turning point. What followed was a long journey of ping-ponging between doctors, naturopaths, and in between, trying every crazy protocol and recommendation I heard about on the internet.

Kelly: If you or your loved ones have ever had a health challenge, be it small or big, you know how confusing, expensive, and stressful it can be.
